Privacy Policy — Contraction Timer

Last updated: July 26, 2026 · Support

Contraction Timer helps you time contractions during pregnancy and labor. Privacy is a core part of its design: everything you record stays on your own device.

1. Your data stays on your iPhone

All contractions you time — start times, durations, intervals, sessions and any notes — are stored only in a local database on your iPhone. The app has no server, no account, and uploads nothing. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.

2. No analytics, no tracking

The app contains no analytics or tracking SDKs of any kind. We do not know who you are, when you use the app, or what you record in it.

3. Sharing is always your choice

You can share a session summary (as text, CSV or a PDF report) with your midwife, doctor or partner. Sharing uses the standard iOS share sheet and happens only when you initiate it. Nothing is ever shared automatically.

4. Notifications

If you allow notifications, the 5-1-1 / 4-1-1 alert is scheduled locally on your device based on the times you recorded. No push servers are involved.

5. Purchases

The optional Pro upgrade is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, email address, or payment details.

6. No ads, no sale of data

The app shows no ads and no data is sold or shared with third parties — there is simply no data to sell.

7. Not a medical device

Contraction Timer records the times you enter by hand. It does not measure anything, makes no diagnoses, and is not a medical device. Always follow the guidance of your midwife, doctor or hospital.

8. Your rights

Because your records exist only on your device, you have full control over them at all times. For any privacy question, contact soufianechalouh@gmail.com.
