This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile app Daily Crossword: Trivia & Pics ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. The app is operated by Soufiane Chalouh. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or other personal details to play.
Information we collect
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, or precise location. The app and the third-party services it uses may collect the following automatically:
Usage and analytics data
To understand how the game is played and improve it, we collect anonymous usage data such as levels started and completed, hints used, screens viewed, in-app events, app version, device model, and operating system version. This data is not used to identify you personally.
Advertising data
The app displays ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob may collect a device advertising identifier (such as Apple's IDFA), coarse approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about ad interactions. On iOS, personalized advertising that uses the advertising identifier is only enabled if you grant permission through the system "Allow Tracking" prompt. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized.
Purchase data
If you make an in-app purchase (for example, "Remove Ads" or coin packs), the transaction is processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of the purchase to deliver your item, but we never receive or store your payment card details. We may record anonymous events indicating that a purchase was started, completed, cancelled, or failed.
How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the game and its puzzles.
- To display and measure advertising, including frequency capping and rewarded ads.
- To deliver and restore in-app purchases.
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
- To understand aggregate gameplay trends.

Your choices
- Tracking: On iOS you can allow or deny app tracking at the first prompt, or later in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings › Google › Ads.
- Remove ads: Purchasing "Remove Ads" stops ad display in the app.
- Personalized ads: You can opt out of personalized advertising using the device controls above; you may still see non-personalized ads.
Children's privacy
The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will address it.
Data retention
Anonymous analytics and advertising data are retained by our service providers in accordance with their policies. Because we do not collect account information, we do not maintain a personal profile that you would need to delete.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
